Knowing God ’ s Plan For Your Life Part 2 – Oyedepo

Last week, we began this two-part series with the
understanding that every child of God has a
glorious , enviable, royal, prosperous and
mountain-top destiny in Christ Jesus. We also
learnt that God’s plan for our lives is locked up in
the Bible. All we need is to engage the ministry of
the Holy Spirit and the power of the Blood of
Jesus for continuous access.
Furthermore, we discovered that one of the
scriptural pictures of our destiny in redemption is
to walk in dominion over any life situation and
circumstance. This week, we shall conclude this
teaching by exploring more scriptural pictures of
our Destiny in redemption, which are as follows:
1. We are redeemed as priests and kings to reign on
the earth: The Bible says: And they sung a new
song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book,
and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain,
and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of
every kindred, and tongue, and people, and
nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and
priests: and we shall reign on the earth
(Revelation 5:9-10).
Every child of God has a royal destiny in
redemption; however, it is by wisdom that kings
reign. For instance, the Bible records that all the
kings on the earth in the days of Solomon
gathered to listen to his wisdom (1 Kings 4:34;
Proverbs 8:15-16).
It is important to note that wisdom in the
Kingdom is the application of the Word of God. As
it is written: Therefore whosoever heareth these
sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him
unto a wise man, which built his house upon a
rock: And the rain descended, and the floods
came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that
house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a
rock (Matthew 7:24-25).
Thus, wisdom is putting God’s Word to work as a
lifestyle. Our royal destiny will never be realised
except we put God’s Word to work in our lives. It
is walking in the light of scriptures that empower
the believer for enthronement. Therefore, our
destiny is absolutely at the mercy of our
obedience to the instructions of scriptures
(Deuteronomy 28:1; Psalms 27:8-9, 119:98;
Isaiah 60:1-3).
2. We have been redeemed as stars to shine on
the earth: We have been redeemed to so shine in
this dark world so that people can glorify our
Father in heaven. Jesus said: I Jesus have sent
mine angel to testify unto you these things in the
churches. I am the root and the offspring of
David, and the bright and morning star
(Revelation 22:16).
He also said: …As my Father hath sent me, even
so send I you (John 20:21). Based on the above
scriptures, everyone who is born again is
redeemed a star after the order of Christ.
But, what does it take to shine?
And they that be wise shall shine as the
brightness of the firmament; and they that turn
many to righteousness as the stars for ever and
ever (Daniel 12:3).
Our shining demands that we engage in turning
many to righteousness (soul-winning). No
wonder the Bible says, he that winneth souls is
wise. Supernatural wisdom is one of the key
benefits of genuine engagement in Kingdom
advancement, which includes engaging in
Kingdom-focused prayers and reaching out to the
lost with passion and love (soul-winning). This
culminates in the making of stars. That means to
emerge as stars, we must engage in tireless
commitment, devotion and addiction to soul-
winning (Proverbs 11:30; Ecclesiastes 8:1).
It is important to understand that soul-winning is
not a gift or a calling; it is an instruction for
everyone who is redeemed (John 15:16).
When we are ‘on the go’ in evangelism for Christ,
we have committed Him to establish partnership
with us, thereby making us more than
conquerors. Remember the Bible says: He that
walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a
companion of fools shall be destroyed (Proverbs
13:20; see also Matthew 28:20; Mark 16:15-20).
When we are walking with Christ, Who is the
wisdom and the power of God, we become
supernaturally smarter than the circumstances of
life. This launches us into the struggle-free realm
of life and our dominion is unquestionable. That
is, things others struggle with become a walkover
for us as a result of our partnership with God
(Psalms 114:1-3).
It is impossible to find a star in the Kingdom
without passion for souls. Kingdom stars are soul
hunters. As we all know, all sports stars are
seasonal stars; as soon as the record is made, it
is laid aside and forgotten. However, God-made
stars don’t go down; for whatsoever the Lord
doeth shall be forever (Proverbs 11:30;
Ecclesiastes 3:14).
In conclusion, we must recognise that every
destiny in the Kingdom is at the mercy of
obedience. The pictures of our redemptive
heritage are real but we must take responsibility
by engaging the Word, to make them a reality. It
is not enough to catch God’s vision for our lives
from the Word, it is important to know what to do
to realise it. Often times, the picture fails because
we do not respond to what is required to make
them manifest.
Our future places specific demands on our lives
and until we subscribe to those demands, destiny
is reduced to a daydream. This is why we must
match every revelation of our redemptive picture
from scripture with responsibility. When we see
our redemptive picture and respond to its
demands, we commit God to make it a reality.
Therefore, receive grace to engage the Word of
God as a lifestyle, thereby leading to the fulfilment
of your glorious destiny in Jesus’ name! Remain
ever Blessed! Are you born again? Have you
accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord?
If you haven’t, you can do so as you say this
prayer: “Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a
sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Cleanse me with
Your precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and
satan to serve the Living God. Today, I accept
You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus
for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”
